Davis Johnson

Davis Johnson grew up on his family’s farm in Modesto. From an early age, he learned what it meant to work in Ag. He spent his summers in high school working at Ag Production Company, doing everything from installing a new rail spur to taking tissue samples. He continued working on a part time basis while at UC Davis, and upon graduation, he started managing regulatory compliance for both AgPro and Chemurgic. Davis has been a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers since 2009, and he participates on the Western Plant Health Association Environmental Site Committee, serving as the moderator to the Retail Compliance Seminar multiple times. He has also spent two years on the Responsible Ag Audit Subcommittee for California.

In addition to his regulatory compliance efforts, Davis directed Chemurgic’s first foray into industrial chemical sector in 2009, manufacturing and selling water treatment chemicals to municipalities. He also never stopped learning, going back to school to earn a BS in Chemistry from Sacramento State. Today, Davis Johnson continues to manage Chemurgic’s industrial chemicals production and sales. He also is the head of Company regulatory compliance, and he regularly helps with product formulation, product registration, logistics and Ag fertilizer sales.

Away from work, Davis loves to spend time with his wife Hannah and his young son Rowan. As of this writing, the couple is expecting another son due in June of 2021. Davis is also an active board member of the Stanislaus County Library Foundation.
